What's been eating my time? Well, it's simple... I've got a daughter now. Her name is Vada. She's a little over a year old. I'd give a description, but where would I start and end? She's Vada. That says nothing and everything all at once.
A quick note on parenthood for those who don't have kids: No one can tell you what parenthood is like. A lot of it depends on you. I had heard that parenting is the single greatest joy that a person can experience. It is not. I was told that parenthood was a life-shattering event. This was also not true. Life has continued on pretty much as it always has, except now I have a daughter.
Speaking of which, we're going to outside and play with leaves now. We might even find some interesting sticks or rocks. Who knows? It's all new to her. The backyard is a wonderland of infinite adventure.
The one thing I can tell you of parenthood that is absolutely true is this: It gives you a second lease on childhood. Don't waste it.
